If you want a solid, clean cut in a chill atmosphere, this is your shop. Kenzy does my undercut and it's dope every time. I've had friends from out of state come in just to get a great cut! No disappointment here, great barbers, great service, great shop. Highly recommend if you want to support a local, woman owned, LGBTQIA+ friendly staff.

I've been going to Take Pride for a year now because I absolutely love this place. It's super queer friendly and the quality of the cuts are always a step above the rest. I've been to Kenzy, Sant and Mychal, but every barber here seems super skilled and want you to leave looking fresh to death (and happy!) I've had trouble finding barbershops that weren't oozing with toxic masculinity and icky vibes, Take Pride Barbershop is a total gem. And I'm grateful to have found it. I'll def be bringing my son, when he gets old enough, and I recommend it to all my friends.

I had the absolute BEST experience at Take Pride Barbershop!! I was unsure what I wanted, but Syd was so kind and helpful and worked with me to find a cut I liked! They made me feel so at ease and the vibes of the shop are awesome. It was my first time going to a barbershop and I'll definitely be going back!

This Barbershop is my go to! My partner gets his hair cut by Kenzie, she has such attention to detail and does such a great job on his mullet! Kenzie also does tooth gems- and they last a long time! The vibe in here is soooo fun! Highly recommend checking them out!

Awesome chop chop shop! Interesting art on the walls to keep my eyes busy during the appointment. Make appointment online and they are available earlier in the day than most barber shops.

Nothing beats a good haircut. I tell that to my barber Kenzy every time she cuts my hair. Before I met Kenzy, I've tried many barbers throughout Portland and could never find the one that cut my hair in the exact way that I wanted it done. That was until I met Kenzy. Kenzy started cutting my hair at another location before she opened her own shop. Watching her grow Take Pride into what I believe is not only the best barbershop in Portland, but one of the best barbershops in the country,has has been an absolute pleasure to experience. Kudos to Kenzy and her team for taking pride in their craft and giving me an over the top experience every time I see her! Nothing beats a good haircut. Thanks Kenzy, you rock!!!
